What if my newborn doesn’t sleep? 😴

It’s possible. We usually try to do newborn shoots in the first few weeks of baby being born - so they are the most sleepiest. 🤗

Sometimes it’s not possible, because of scheduling conflict, or you blinked and baby is already two weeks old. ⏱️

Sometimes clients come, and baby just doesn’t want to sleep. 🤷🏻‍♀️ This has also happened, so we adapt! We go with the flow.

The best thing is to come with no expectations and trust that you will get beautiful, timeless images regardless if baby sleeps or is wide awake! 📷❤️

A question I often get asked is what is the best time to book a maternity shoot? 🤰🏻

The quick answer, is anytime you are pregnant lol. 🗓️

The longer answer is ideally between 28 and 36 weeks - but again every body, and every pregnancy is different. So there is no right or wrong answer. 🥰

Just keep in mind that the closer to the end of your pregnancy that you book, you do have a few risks; early labor, being too swollen or not feeling well.

Another thing to note is a lot of photographers, whether it be me, or someone else tend to have full schedules. So the earlier in your pregnancy that you reach out, the better.

It is so true what they say. I absolutely love my job, love working with expecting mamas, newborns, babies and everything in between! When I go to “work”, it doesn’t feel like I am working. Maybe when I am home editing 😝 haha, but I absolutely love creating in the studio. 😍

Before turning to photography, I worked many years for my family’s business. While I liked what I was doing, it wasn’t my passion. 🗃️👩‍💼
